Early destroyed by PBK . Reviews It shows an interior design similar to last year’s iPhone 13 Pro Max but with some changes. Like last year, this year’s iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max battery is L-shaped, and so Mac rumors I mentioned earlier, the battery is a little smaller than last year.

The back of the iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max’s Super Retina XDR display shows a graphite film to help dissipate heat

According to Apple, it has made interior design updates for all iPhone 14‌ and iPhone 14 Pro‌ models to better manage heat. While this teardown doesn’t directly hint at what those changes are, there is a metal plate covering the main board that’s probably better optimized for heat dissipation. The graphite film on the back of the screen also helps to heat up, as shown in Today’s Unpacking.

Look closely at the perforated and grain cutouts as well as the new proximity sensor

Shredding also gives us a closer look at the updated replacement, which consists of a punch-hole and grain-shaped slots digitally integrated within iOS to create a dynamic island. For the first time on the iPhone, Apple placed the proximity sensor under the screen to free up space in the TrueDepth camera system and eliminated the notch in favor of a digitally generated pill-shaped separation.

In previous iPhones, the proximity sensor, which detects when the phone is lying flat on a table, in your pocket, or held during a phone call, was located in the slot along with the Face ID components.

The teardown also shows the updated rear cameras, a closer look at the earpiece, and more. A more detailed breakdown of all iPhone 14‌ and iPhone 14 Pro‌ models is expected to be completed iFixit Shortly after the devices reach the customers. iFixitTaking it apart will provide a more comprehensive understanding of what has changed internally on the latest iPhones.
