Samsung brand two devices with flexible screens – Slidable Flex Solo, Slidable Flex Duet: Report

Samsung is reported to have introduced two new trademarks to the Korea Intellectual Property Information Service (KIPRIS) for devices featuring flexible display technology. The devices in question are said to bear the nicknames Slidable Flex Solo and Slidable Flex Duet. The South Korean tech giant appears to be expanding its flexible display technology. Earlier this year, Samsung demonstrated the Flex Slidable concept panel at CES 2022. It was shown to include sliding displays that can be used to expand the display’s display area.

according to Report By Sammobile, Samsung has trademarked the Slidable Flex Solo and the Slidable Flex Duet with KIPRIS. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about these devices at the moment. However, the South Korean tech giant showed off the Flex Slidable display at CES 2022 earlier this year. This technology may form the basis for these devices.

So far, Samsung has only released smartphones with foldable screens on the market. A recent report said that the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 had record pre-bookings.

Samsung is also said to be working on a smartphone with a foldable screen that can be wrapped around a person’s hands. The alleged design patent of this phone indicates that it can be folded in such a way as to form a loop. It can also be folded at a right angle to form a curved screen that looks like a waterfall.

Moreover, a previous report revealed that Samsung is developing a multi-purpose expandable display. The company has reportedly filed a patent for this technology with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The presumed designs indicate that this screen can be expanded in all directions.
