God of War: Ragnarok has been given a new trailer, which blends a mix of cinematic story moments and intense combat demonstrations. We feel Kratos’ interactions with other deities, and some of their encounters with Freya. We also see, at some point, Kratos facing off against two Valkyries simultaneously. Camu Perkanda Yes?
There was a lot here to unpack. I felt like the majority of the set pieces in the game were offered, and Holy Molly, I’m totally amazed and incredibly excited. I can not Talk. Fabulous!
The new God of War: Ragnarok-themed DualSense has been revealed, available November 9 at the show.
Rise of the Ronin is revealed, a new Team Ninja game that takes place in Japan in 1863. It appears to be an open world and features players who freely explore Japan, featuring classic team ninja combat and intense takedowns. It’s a PS5 exclusive and launches sometime in 2024.
The next game on display was Stellar Blade, a PS5 exclusive that features an intense hack-n-slash third-person shooter set in 2023. Formerly called Project Eve, it’s most interesting for its pure environments and truly brutal designs. It seems to control very smoothly and has tight groups.
A mecha-based game where the player collects resources, climbs up through obstacles, and fights giant alien-like monsters. It’s called Synduality and it seems to have quite the narrative, it’s coming in 2023.
PlayStation Stars receives an update/explanation of information. Players earn points and earn digital collectibles by participating. We got a sneak peek of what it might look like, and we’ve seen Tarot, Ape Escape, PS3 console, and more.
In Pacific Drive, the player bypasses obstacles, supernatural phenomena, and creatures to escape through a gigantic forest and reach its destination. It looks severe. The game launches in 2023 and comes on PS5.
Hogwarts: Legacy receives a completely different kind of trailer. It seems to focus more on horror in the Harry Potter universe, featuring spooky mannequins and giant spiders. The Haunted Hogsmede Store is what we’ve been showing off, a PlayStation exclusive quest.
A remake of Sega takes place in feudal Japan, being rebuilt from the ground up. It is available outside Japan for the first time. Like A Dragon: Ishin appears to feature hack-n-slash combat and totally wild scenes.
Another PSVR 2 game looks like it features a backgammon board game where players place cards on the field to battle miniature monsters with their heroes. It also looks like a multiplayer. It’s called Demeo and it’s in development for PSVR2.
PSVR 2 gets Star Wars where the player escapes to the Galaxy’s Edge, visits exotic planets, shoots flying monsters and robots, and interacts with R2D2 and C3PO. It’s called Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy’s Edge Enhanced Edition.
The PlayStation State of Play opens with a first look at Tekken 8. It’s cloudy, stormy, a fire is burning, and great rock music plays in the background. It’s coming for PS5, but we haven’t set an official date.
PlayStation State of Play starts in less than an hour. Hopefully, Square Enix will show up to show more Final Fantasy XVI. I’m especially dreaming today and I hope FromSoftware will show Armored Core, but that’s unfortunately unlikely.
