The Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max phones come with the new Apple A16 Bionic processor, and the iPhone 14 models have the same A15 Bionic processor as the iPhone 13.
It has now been revealed that these new Pro models of iPhone feature 5G faster than the iPhone 13 Pro models.
Speedmsart recently tested the iPhone Pro against the iPhone 14 Pro for 5G speed on both Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile, and that can be seen in the chart below.
On T-Mobile, the new iPhone Pro was 38 percent faster to download than last year’s Pro model, and on Verizon, the phone was 32 percent faster. That’s a huge improvement, and that’s due to a new 5G modem in this year’s iPhone Pro models.
There were also improvements in upload speeds on both networks and latency improvements with lower latency on this year’s models.
As you can see in the above graph, we only pulled data from the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max and compared it to the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. The velocity difference is a much bigger leap than we expected. The average download speed of 255 Mbps on 5G is quite impressive.
